Spectators
Spectators should take the first entrance closest to Van Dorn Street
and park in the parking lot to the right of the school next to Van Dorn
Street. The spectator entrance is in the left rear of the parking lot
(Entrance 11).
Admission for the event will be $10.00 for adults. Seniors, students (with ID) and children under 12 are $7.00. Children under 2 are free.
Concessions will be available throughtout the event in the Cafeteria. We will serve pizza, Chick-fil-A, baked potatos and many other items. The Cafeteria is down the hall from the gym entrance and up the stairs on the left.
Units
Units should enter at the traffic light and park along
the left hand side and rear of the building. The unit entrance is near
the left rear corner (Entrance 8). Units should exit out the front of
the building near the auditorium. Performers will be admitted free and units will receive 10 free staff passes in addition to the directors pass. Additional admission tickets will be available for sale at the check-in table.
We have now received an even newer scheduled than is on the AIA site (mod 4). This schedule has been updated with the Percussion Warmup rooms.
The Auditorium will be the designated 'Holding Area' for units before the performance. Edison High School is not responsible for any items left in the auditorium. No food or beverages are permited in the auditorium other than water. No hairspray or glitter is to be applied inside the auditorium.
From the auditorium, Drumline units will proceed to Warm-up A (Lecture Hall) or B (Aux Gym), and then to the On-Deck area outside the Aux Gym. Colorguard units will proceed to Body Warm-up (Lecture Hall) then Equipment Warm-up (Aux Gym) then to On-Deck.
Props and equipment will be stored in the hallways near the unit check-in. Locations will be identified with signs with the unit's name. There s a ramp at the end of the hall that all equipment needs to be rolled down. Props will meet the units in the On-Deck area.
The entrance to the gym has only a single sized door but the exit door is double-width. Any units with large props or equipment need to coordinate at check-in the need to use the exit doors to bring these items into the gym.
This competition has a horizontal timing line for entry and exit to the performance area. All units will be entering the gym from the back left and exiting at the front left (unless arrangements for large props are made at check-in). Copies for the gym layout and school floorplan are available.
Critique wil be held in the Judges Room. You must sign up for critique at unit check-in upon arrival to participate.
The Directors Lounge, Judges Room and First Aid are all in the hallway next to the Gym entrance.
